PTA’s CORNER

Welcome to the 7th edition 1

Sick Kids:

During the past Month we where sometimes surprised to see sniffling Kids with fever entering the School.

In behalf of the PTA we would like to ask all fellow Parents to keep sick Kids at home and seek a Doctor’s opinion before resuming normal school life. When ever you have questions please do call the school, the nurse or a Class Mom. At CISPTA.COM we provide some info about common diseases.

“Better Off”

2

This week we came across a beautiful initiative of our 11th graders that in our opinion deservers our attention and support. A group of them founded “Better Off” because they want to make a difference in the world. In order to provide rural children with an opportunity to gain knowledge and progress in life, they plan to build a public library in Chaiyaphum. Better Off is seeking book donations and corporate sponsors to make this project a reality. Benefits for corporate sponsors include featuring the sponsor’s company name on the library books and an opportunity to promote corporate social responsibility. An estimate for the total cost of building the library is about 300,000 THB. More info you’ll find on CISPTA.COM

Soccer:

Well . . . at the time you are reading this the Tournament has been finished, We as Parents would like to say thank you to all involved and give a big Applause for our little Dragon’s. Fortunately soccer seems to have a future at CIS as some of us watched the marvelous Demonstration training sessions by Mr. Darren Jackson, a former Premier League player from the U.K. Good Luck Dragon’s!

Car parking:

Dear Friends, We would like to ask you to help the School and the environment by turning of your car engines whilst parking at the School premises.

Manners:

We’ve seen a lot of polite and friendly Kids this Month. That’s such a good thing! A friendly face and a warm word are social lubricants; Kids who learn this from an early age have a lot of advantage later in their live.

Goal of the month, lets try all to keep the place clean the coming weeks, sometimes we see kids (or adults) just drop stuff where ever they like. Let’s help each other learn to get a handle on this. People who have an idea how to help making our world a cleaner place please contact the PTA.
