PTA Corner 2nd issue September 2009

Time is flying by so fast!  So busy, hardly any time to think and reflect. What am I doing? How am I doing it and why? Some times it’s good to step back from this painting called life, step back and absorb, sit down and reflect. These are the moments that I really see and appreciate the beauty of my Kids, otherwise washed away by a typhoon called “life”.

 The PTA is welcoming all new Volunteers.2

 

The PTA, What is it about . . .

Build the community - Facilitate communication - Support teachers

  • Activities Subcommittee: Support the School in various ways by organizing or participating in various events such as Halloween, Christmas, Welcome party, Fund raisers, etc . . .
  • Translation assistance
  • Food committee
    Supportive to everything concerning food.
  • The Sport Subcommittee
    Enhances sport activities, helping the school supporting events or sport clubs organized and maintained by Parent volunteers.
  • Newcomer’s team
    Welcome families of all nationalities.
  • Public relation Team: Parent PR team, to help the School promotions organized by CIS Marketing team.
  • Website and or Newsletter
    Here you can give tips to Parents: where to dine, shop, go to vacation, health tips, activities for children, safety tips.

PTA Meetings

  • Official PTA Committee meeting in the PTA room.
  • “Meet and Greet” Parents get together from 08:15 until 09:15 in the PTA room.
  • Meeting with a theme: specified support meeting in cooperation with school.

If you like to know more about us
Just walk in the PTA room around eight am..
At least one of our members is normally there doing some PTA stuff.
