Minutes of Meeting

Minutes on PR committee meeting (13 Oct 2009 at PTA room)
Attendees : K. Theo, K. Fon, K. Pia and Hua . The meeting started at 09.30.
- PTA news corner in CIS monthly newsletter. K. Fon agreed to help preparing articles every month. Article should include announcement, PTA news update, interesting subject such as safety or moral issues and contribution from other parents. The next article’s deadline is October 16, 2009 and the print will come out on November 2, 2009.
- Happy Birthday to Teachers and TA. We all agreed that this is a thing we should do to make all teachers and TA feel they are a part of our community. We will set up a system to send e-cards on the birthday. Theo will find out the birthday and the software to send this on the date automatically.
- Mailing list. Right now 80 % of the whole school parents contact list we get from school is accurate. The correction is needed but we still have to find out ways to do this. However, we need to find out ways to communicate in small circle of PTA active members. K. Theo and K. Pia will work out the current list and K. Pia will help calling some name that has no response to make sure their contact details is right and to confirm the method they preferred to receive PTA news.
- Agenda of PTA meeting and minutes. Theo already set up a spot in our PTA website for posting the agenda of PTA meeting and the minutes thereof. When Each committee calls a meeting or has a minute, please provide K. Theo with the agenda or the minutes thereof so he can post it on our website. This is a measure for transparency. Anyone can click and see our work. For main committee K. Hua will help with the agenda and minutes because she is the secretary.
